I am torn on this case. The Verus Crystal Bumper Heavy Duty case looks beautiful, but the plastic color band going around it feels slightly cheap. I realize the case is supposed to be thicker for protection reasons, but for a clear case, especially compared with the Spigen Slim Armor case it felt bulky. It isn’t the widest case I have, but it doesn’t help that it gives an illusion of it floating in a case with a color band going around the outside. It looks big in the case is the only way I can put it. I think it looks nice for what it is trying to achieve, being an attractive but protective case, but if an invisible case is what you are looking for keep looking. – 8.0
It feels as though the plastic band around the area you are gripping is not as grippy as the rubber on the rest of the phone, but overall this phone has a nice tacky feeling. Not the best but good enough. – 8.0
This is where this phone should shine. It is very nicely protected by a thick clear rubber and then a harder plastic bumper that goes on top. The lip is protruded enough that it should do a good job for most face down drops or just allow you to lay your phone face down without any worry. If you want a clear case that has to have better protection than the ultra thin variety this one gets the job done. – 8.5
For a thick case the ports are of course recessed. The nice thing is they really cut out a nice chunk of the case in order to make grabbing the S Pen very easy that should not deter the protection of the overall case. The other bad news is while the headphone jack cutout fits the included headphones perfectly, people with wider ends or angled plugs may have an issue getting your headphones in. The S Pen cutout is a real plus making it one of the easier bulky cases to get it out of. – 8.5
